Second half of the 19th century. A very powerful and accurate painting of a sunset in a heath landscape with umbrella pines. The influence of the Barbizon School is clearly perceptible here.
Minimal (restored) damage and a fine frame. Stamp of the maker of the canvas (Reeyes & Sons Canvas London, England) on the reverse.
