Lacoste J. Edward

The dates of birth and death of this artist are unknown. He was an illustrator (of books and postcards), also a poster maker, and a painter. He was a teacher at the academy of fine arts of Bordeaux. Three paintings by his hand are known, the Moroccan spinner (from our collection), a self-portrait and a painting that he made of the party that was organized in 1907 on the occasion of the reopening (after restoration) of the castle of Mauvézin (Occitanie) and that is conserved in this castle.
