Charles Marie Palianti (1815-XX)
Charles Marie Palianti was born in Barcelona in 1815. He was a painter, a watercolorist of landscapes, cityscapes, mountains, architectural views, and scenes with crowds. He was a pupil of Corot and first exhibited at the Salon Des artistes Français in 1870.
How and when he came from Spain to France is unknown, nor the date of his death. Most of his watercolors are of exceptionally high quality and one "The outskirts of Interlaken" is part of the collection of the Museum of Auxerre. His work seldom comes to the market.
